1. Agriculture Extension Assistant (AEA)
No of posts: 1581 posts [Unreserved: 876, OBC/MOBC: 496, ST (H): 43, ST (P): 65, PWD: 14]
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200
Educational Qualification: HS passed in any discipline from any recognised Board/Council/ University. Preference will be given to those candidates who are passed in Science Stream and having Rural Back Ground certificate.
2. Junior Assistant

General: Graduate in any discipline from any recognised University.

Educational Qualification:
General: Graduate in any Discipline from any recognised University.
Technical: Grade-I Stenography diploma with minimum speed 80wpm (Eng), and minimum 6 months Computer diploma.
4. Steno-Typist

Educational Qualification:
General: HS passed in any discipline from any recognised Board/ Council/ University.

Educational Qualification:
General: HSLC passed from any recognised Board/ Council/ University
Technical: 2 years Diploma in Electrical from Govt. I.T.I.
6. PI/FI/FS/Computor

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200
Educational Qualification: HSSLC passed in any discipline from any recognised Board/ Council/ University with Statistics, Economics or Mathematics as one of the subject.
7. Mechanic (Jute)

Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.60,500 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,600
Educational Qualification:
General: HSLC passed from any recognised Board/ Council/ University.
Technical: 2 years Diploma in Mechanic from Govt. I.T.I
8. Grade-IV

Pay Scale: Rs.12,000 – Rs.35,000 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 3,900
Educational Qualification: Class VIII passed.
Other Criteria of Agriculture Department Recruitment
Citizenship: Candidate must be Indian Citizen, ordinarily resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange Registration Certificate: He/She must have registered his /her name in any Employment Exchange of Assam.
Age: Candidate should not be more than 40 years and less than 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2020
Age Relaxation: Upper age limit is relaxable as under:
i) 03 (three) years in case of candidates belonging to OBC/MOBC.
ii) 05 (five) years in case of candidates belonging to SC, ST (P) & ST (H).

Candidates will be required to upload scanned copies of the following:-
i) Birth Certificate or Admit card of HSLC or equivalent examination for proof of age.
ii) Marksheet & Certificate of Educational Qualification for the post concerned.
iii) Other Technical, Stenography and Computer certificate/Diploma (Minimum 6 month duration).
iv) Caste Certificate from competent authority in respect of candidates belonging to SC, ST(P), ST(H) and OBC/MOBC.
v) Valid Employment exchange Registration Card/Certificate.
vi) The candidates willing to apply for the post of Agril. Extension Assistant, have to furnish the Rural Back ground certificate in the prescribed Schedule –III.
vii) Passport Size of photograph.
viii) Signature.
