১৯৫৫ চনত ৰাভাই ভাৰতীয় কমিউনিষ্ট দল (চি.পি.আই.)-ত যোগ দিয়ে আৰু এই দলৰ প্ৰাৰ্থীৰূপে ১৯৫৭ চনত বৰপেটা সমষ্টিৰপৰা বিধান সভাৰ নিৰ্বাচনত প্ৰতিদ্বন্দিতা কৰে। নিৰ্বাচনত ৰাভাৰ পৰাজয় হয়। ১৯৬২ চনত ভাৰত-চীন যুদ্ধৰ সময়ত চীনাপন্থী বুলি ৰাভাক আকৌ বন্দী কৰা হয় আৰু ন মাহৰ বাবে জেললৈ পঠোৱা হয়। ১৯৬৭ চনত তেজপুৰৰপৰা নিৰ্দলীয় প্ৰাৰ্থী হিচাপে বিধান সভা নিৰ্বাচন প্ৰতিদ্বন্দিতা কৰি জয়লাভ কৰে।

Candidates whose applications are found correct in all respects will be called for a written test which will be conducted in the District Headquarters/ Range (s) or any other convenient venue(s) depending upon the number of candidates. The candidates will have to appear for the Written Test in the venue mentioned in his/her call letter. However, the Chairman, SLPRB, Assam reserves the right to change the venue (s) of the test as per convenience and no representation etc. will be entertained in this regard. Before entering the examination centre, biometrics of each candidate will be done.

14. The cardid.tes selected for the positions of Block Coordinators- SVEP AAP will be posted in the specific Blocks where prog.am is being implemented,i.e. Hsjo, Pub Mangaldoi and Sidli-Chirang.
15. It may be noted that lhe positions of Block Coordinators under MKSP and SVEP are not interchangeabl€ with those under DAY-NRLM and DDU-cKy.
